My Journey
My Journey: From Loss and Overwhelm to Purpose and Empowerment
I lost my dad to cancer when I was just 8 years old. A year to the day after he passed, my nan died too. Grief defined much of my early childhood—and without a male role model, I had to learn many of life’s lessons the hard way, like how to shave or how to navigate life as a young man.

As I grew up, I became good at one thing: getting back up. I failed, I fell, but I always found the strength to go again.

In my twenties, I enrolled on a counselling course. That opened up a whole can of worms—looking inward, confronting grief, facing the pain I’d buried for years. It was overwhelming, but also transformative. That journey led me to become a mentor for a national organisation, helping unemployed people break down the inner barriers that were holding them back from finding work.

After being made redundant, I dabbled in different jobs—customer service, self-employment, small business ventures. Then, everything changed again.
My son was diagnosed with autism at the age of four. At the time, I was the only one who could drive, so I became his full-time carer—juggling endless appointments, sleepless nights, and trying to hold everything together. My wife and I would take turns staying up all night with him. It was relentless. In the process, I lost my sense of identity. I didn’t know who I was anymore beyond “dad” or “carer.”

To reclaim something for myself, I enrolled in a business course at my local college. That led to a degree in Business & Management, where I graduated with a First Class Honours. But deep down, I knew business alone wasn’t my true calling—helping people was.
So my wife (a psychotherapist) and I founded a Community Interest Company to support families affected by special educational needs and disabilities. We’ve created safe, inclusive spaces for families to connect, recharge, and feel seen.
Still, I wanted to go deeper.

That’s when I found coaching—a future-focused, action-oriented approach that aligned perfectly with my values. Coaching doesn’t dwell in the past. It asks: Where are you now? Where do you want to be? And what’s standing in your way?

Now, I’m a fully accredited Coach and Master NLP Practitioner. I use everything I’ve learned—personally and professionally—to help overwhelmed professionals and entrepreneurs break free from anxiety, fear, and self-doubt.
My mission is to help you reconnect with your confidence, reclaim your purpose, and take bold, aligned action—in life and in business.
Because I know what it’s like to feel lost.
And I know what it takes to come back stronger.
